...because i dont know what half of the pictures there are doing there... i am sorry if i speaking directly from my lever, but i serioulsy cant understand that. I mean can someone tell me HOW a picture get on the first page? I mean, im sorry if im being incredibally impolite, but i dont like 2 THIRDs of the pictures on the front page.
What I think should be on the front page?
I think pictures who are pretty, which the artist have used many many hours on making, or who actually IS cute in contruary of many of the pictures there.
Well, maybe its just me, who, because im also on DA, find people around here way too kind and unfair in their comments, but i am seriously really pisse at the moment. Sometimes i spot this REALLY great stuff, that actually disserve to get on the front page, but which people around here dont even care to rate or comment anything on. One thing ive noticed is that there's usually one or two artist that is always on the front page with some picture that is supposed to be "pretty", but actually is just like all the other ones. It seems to me that people around here dont think with their own mind, just follows the flow(this of course is not everyone, but some or more of the people around here)
I think people should think more for themselves, comment what they think deserve it, and not only comment here and there as it fitts them. I believe it gives you, as an artist, the wrong impression of what people around here really think of your art. And please, people, be not afraid to write some critique, like "this is a beatiful picture but you could do that and that to improve it" not only "OMG THIS IS SOOOOOOOOO BEATIFUL!! I JUST LUUUUV YOUR ART!", it not only help yourself in becomeing a more respected person, it also helps the artist and makes it a lot funnier to both write the reply on the comment, and draw later on, when he or she realize what people really think of their art. So be reasonable, but helpsome:)
I guess im gonna be really haunted if this journal is noticed, but i assume it wont. Im too inactive here to be noticed i think. well well.. we'll see about that:)
And just as you know, this is not meant as insult on the SA community, its just my personal opinion, and some critique, but as too many think; it is NOT mean to give an artist a critique! It helps, and even though someone might give YOU some critique doesnt mean the picture is bad. Every piece of art, anyway how beatiful it is, can be critizised! remember that!
